Lindsey Vonn is at the Masters to watch boyfriend Tiger Woods go for his fifth green jacket — but don’t expect to see her following him around the course.

Vonn is still recovering from surgery on her right knee after a horrific ski crash that ended her season at the world championships two months ago. Vonn, who is still wearing a brace, said she will probably watch most of the tournament from the clubhouse.

“I can’t really walk too much,” Vonn told the New York Times. “And it’s so hilly here.”

Everyone is talking about Caroline Wozniacki caddying for Rory McIlroy at Wednesday’s Par 3 Contest. But let’s be honest — the real star of the show was Bubba Watson’s caddie, his one-year-old son. Look at that face. (Photos: Harry How/Getty Images; Jewel Samad/AFP/Getty Images)

FINALLY: Condoleezza Rice shows off her green jacket ahead of the Masters.

The home of the Masters, under increasing criticism the last decade because of its all-male membership, invited the former secretary of state and South Carolina financier Darla Moore to become the first women in green jackets last August when the club opens for a new season in October.
A debate about membership intensified in 2002 when Martha Burk of the National Council of Women’s Organizations urged the club to include women among its members.
Former club chairman Hootie Johnson stood his ground, even at the cost of losing Masters television sponsors for two years, when he famously said Augusta National might one day have a woman in a green jacket, “but not at the point of a bayonet.” (Photo: Ron Williams/The Associated Press)

Tiger Woods is back to No. 1 in the world with a game that look as good as ever.
Woods tied a PGA Tour record Monday by winning the Arnold Palmer Invitational for the eighth time, and this one had some extra significance. It returned him to the top of the world ranking for the first time since the final week of October 2010, the longest spell of his career.
Woods fell as low as No. 58 in the world as he coped with a crisis in his personal life and injuries to his left leg. One week after he announced he was dating Olympic ski champion Lindsey Vonn, Woods celebrated his third win of the season, and his sixth going back to Bay Hill a year ago.
“It’s a byproduct of hard work, patience and getting back to winning golf tournaments,” Woods said.

Lydia Ko is not going to the bank to cash a champion’s cheque, but she still gets what many pro golfers do not yet have.

Recognition in the World Golf Hall of Fame.

The 15-year-old amateur made her mark in golf history Sunday as she became the youngest ever winner of an LPGA event by capturing the Canadian Women’s Open title with a 5-under 67.

Since Ko is still an amateur, she could not collect the top prize of $300,000. But her glove will be displayed in the World Golf Hall of Fame after the Florida-based shrine requested a memento from her history-setting round.

‘Are you gonna cry about it?’ The advantages to blubbering for male athletes
His lips quivered. His eyes winced shut and his shoulders began to heave as Bubba Watson, a strappingly strong lad from northern Florida, became a helpless little boy moments after sinking his 2012 Masters winning putt on Sunday evening at Augusta National, bawling his eyes out for all the world to see.

We see tears in golf. We see them in hockey. We see them in all sorts of athletic arenas where all kinds of victorious men, of otherwise manly stature, turn into weeping willows.

But what we are seeing is more than just tears. Mr. Watson’s blubbering was a biological cue, a secret recipe for long-term mental and physical health, a symbol of male emotional liberation and an indication that, even though he had won the big one, he never believed that he would.

Maybe they can teach Tiger Woods anger management skillsIt was a dreadful day on the golf course for the new Young Lion, Rory McIlroy, and his predecessor, Sergio Garcia.Paired together, and in great position to take a run at the lead after 36 holes, they shot 42 and 40, respectively, on the front nine and basically blew themselves out of the Masters with rounds of 77 and 75.So when they each birdied the par-3 12th, they bear-hugged each other, laughing, as if they’d just won the Ryder Cup.Photo: Andrew Redington/Getty Images
