They were a little shy at first … until this happened.
Two words: KISS CAM. The Obamas wouldn’t oblige during the first half, despite roars and some boos from the crowd. But in the fourth quarter, “Kiss Cam” peered back on the first couple and the president was ready: He put his arm around his wife and planted a big kiss on the first lady as the crowd roared.
If you didn’t get enough of the royal family yesterday …
It wasn’t much of a race, but then it really couldn’t have been as the world’s fastest man and Britain’s Prince Harry met up on a track Tuesday in the Jamaican capital.
The prince got off to a false start and was about 50 meters down the track as Usain Bolt bent over with laughter. The Olympic medalist then jogged up to Harry, making one of his signature skyward points for a crowd of onlookers at the University of the West Indies in the Jamaican capital.
Pippa Middleton finished the famous Vasaloppet cross country ski marathon in Sweden in 412th place, but probably won the award for most interviewed competitor.
Middleton, the sister of Prince William’s new bride, Kate Middleton, finished the traditional Swedish ski marathon in 7:13:36. She lost the royal race to Denmark’s Crown Prince Fredrik who completed the course in 6:36:32 to finish in 5,530th place in the men’s race.
Pippa and her brother James, who clocked 06:47:27, were competing alongside 15,800 competitors to raise money for the children’s charity Magic Breakfast.
The competition is one of the world’s oldest cross-country races and is based on Gustav Vasa’s attempt to gather peasants for a revolt against occupying Danes in 1522.

“If I was on that plane with my kids, it wouldn’t have been down like it did. There would have been a lot of blood in that first-class cabin and then me saying ‘OK. we’re going to land somewhere safely, don’t worry.’” [Photo illustration by Steve Murray]

Conrad Murray sentenced to four years in prison
Dr. Conrad Murray has been sentenced to four years in prison — the highest prison term for his conviction — on Nov. 29 for the involuntary manslaughter of pop star Michael Jackson.
Murray was found guilty of involuntary manslaughter in the death of Michael Jackson on Nov. 7, in a case that captivated Michael Jackson fans worldwide. Jackson died on June 25, 2009, of what was determined to be an overdose of sedatives and propofol.
Murray was accused by Judge Michael Pastor of propagating a “continuing series of lies” to Jackson’s friends, family, security team and various healthcare providers — including paramedics — that were “not designed to help his patient” but rather “to deceive and to give Dr. Murray a way out.” Pastor also called Murray’s recording of Jackson while the pop star was under heavy influence propofol an “insurance policy,” and called out Murray’s continuous supplying to Jackson of “staggering” amounts of the powerful painkiller and sedative a “clear violation of the patient-caregiver agreement.”
