Barack Obama’s security team took ’20′ women back to hotel: U.S. senator
Twenty or 21 women, believed to be prostitutes, were brought back to a Colombian hotel by U.S. Secret Service agents and military personnel, Senator Susan Collins said Tuesday. The incident occurred last week, just days before U.S. President Barack Obama was due to arrive for the Summit of the Americas.
The agents involved in the scandal openly bragged to sex workers at a Cartagena brothel that they were part of Obama’s advance security team, ABC News reported. The agents were reportedly drinking heavily during their time there.
Bus Force One?: Meet Obama’s new armored bus
The shiny, black armored bus, bristling with secret communications technology, with flashing police-style red and blue lights on the front and the back, made its debut on President Barack Obama’s three-day tour of Minnesota, Iowa and Illinois.
The vehicle was commissioned by the Secret Service, which has always hired buses for election campaigns and retrofitted them to provide suitable protection for presidents and rival party nominees. (Photo: Jim Watson/AFP/Getty Images)
