MTV renews Jersey Shore for a sixth season
New Jersey’s gyms, tanning salons and laundromats can rejoice; MTV has renewed Jersey Shore for a sixth season.
Speaking in corporate speak for Snooki’s upcoming little bundle of reality TV joy, MTV’s press release promises the upcoming season will see the orange-tinted gang head into “unchartered territory as their lives outside the Shore take off in exciting new directions.”

Broadcast council rules Dire Straits song too offensive for Canadian radio
Money For Nothing, a classic-rock radio staple by Dire Straits, is too offensive for Canadian broadcasts because of its use of the word “faggot,” the Canadian Broadcast Standards Council has ruled.
