What would you name Winnipeg’s new NHL team?
The NHL’s return to Winnipeg is seemingly imminent. While Winnipeg hockey fans are understandably attached to the Jets name, there are plenty of reasons why the team owners might want to give Winnipeg’s team a fresh start. The Winnipeg Threshers
It would pay homage to those prairie roots and be pretty darned close to the Thrashers. Also the Wheat Kings name is already taken.
The Manitoba Bettmans (the Betts for short)
What better way to pay homage to the man most responsible for bringing the NHL back to Winnipeg…
