Suburban Toronto home in photo linked to alleged Mayor Rob Ford video identified
The house where Mayor Rob Ford took a photograph with gunshot victim Anthony Smith has now been identified in, and is just steps from the apartment building where sources say the alleged crack video at the centre of the scandal might have been stored.
Similarities between the photograph and the exterior of the garage at 15 Windsor Road prompted two media outlets to identify the home, which appears in the background of a widely circulated picture of Mr. Ford and Mr. Smith. U.S. gossip website Gawker says the same Toronto crack dealers who were shopping around an alleged video of the mayor smoking crack — that video is now “gone,” Gawker says — provided a copy this photograph, and alleged it was taken while Mr. Ford was en route to purchase crack cocaine in the neighbourhood.
The home is just around the corner from 320 Dixon Road, an Etobicoke high-rise in Toronto’s north-western suburbs where sources say the alleged crack video might once have been held. The National Post has not seen the alleged video and cannot verify its authenticity. (Gawker/J.P. Moczulski for National Post)
