Ivory Coast strongman Gbagbo arrested: official
ABIDJAN — Ivory Coast’s incumbent leader Laurent Gbagbo has been arrested, a spokeswoman for forces loyal to his rival presidential claimant Alassane Ouattara said on Monday. “Yes, he has been arrested,” spokeswoman Affoussy Bamba told Reuters. Earlier a Gbagbo adviser in Paris had told Reuters French forces had detained Gbagbo.
