Road to deadlock: Prospect of a U.S. presidential tie now ‘startlingly real’
As election day nears in the United States, the race is coming down to nine toss-up states. And, according to CNN, the “prospect is startlingly real” that it may end in a tie — President Barack Obama and Republican candidate Mitt Romney may both win 269 Electoral College, if current trends continue.
