From his home in the town of Morden, Man., located roughly a half-hour drive from the U.S.-Canada border, Byron Rempel is slowly amassing an army of the undead.Luckily for local residents, Rempel’s growing stable of zombies aren’t of the flesh-eating variety, but rather works of art; drawings and paintings created by Rempel, each one designed to depict a real person as they might look as a member of the
living dead.It’s all part of the artist’s ambitious 1,000 Zombies project, which, as the name suggests, is something of a personal quest for Rempel, who plans to create a horde of “zombified” portraits of the people he meets through the Google+ before the end of the year.
